Three Ways to Fit
Flat units
The flat design is built for ceiling, floor, or wall installation. Starting at an installation height of 385 millimetres, it is lower than a standard coffee table. This low height makes it especially suitable for existing buildings, where suspended ceilings or low room heights leave little space for conventional ventilation technology. The casing is designed for all European climate conditions and can also be installed outdoors if required.
Top duct connections
The upright design has its duct connections on top, which keeps the footprint small. It is particularly suited to basements, plant rooms, and boiler rooms, where room height offers more flexibility than available floor space. Depending on configuration, a counterflow or rotary heat exchanger is available, along with integrated coils, sensors, and a control board built into the casing.
End-face duct connections
The horizontal design distributes its duct connections across both end faces and is suited to rooms with limited ceiling height, such as mezzanine levels or low-clearance plant rooms. With an optional roof, it can also be installed outdoors without complicating maintenance. Via a removable flange, a factory-prepared Comfort Box can be attached for additional heating or cooling functions, matching the casing quality of the main unit. This design also forms the basis for Rox modifications such as heat pump integration, additional cooling, or extra coils.
Small Unit, Full Performance
Heat Pump Connectivity
The unit connects directly to external heat pump systems on a shared base frame. Cascade operation with multiple heat pumps is possible for higher capacities. Natural refrigerants such as R290 keep the system future-proof and environmentally sound. All connections are factory prepared and tested, reducing on-site installation effort to a minimum.
Factory-Fitted Refrigeration
DX cooling machines are built into the unit or housed in an additional casing. The refrigeration circuit is fully assembled and tested at the factory. No separate refrigerant work is required on site. This shortens commissioning time significantly.
Complete Hydraulics Package
All hydraulic components, including pipework, valves, and pumps, are pre-installed inside the unit. Every connection is pressure-tested before delivery. Site teams only need to connect the supply and return lines. This keeps installation simple and predictable.
Smart Control System
The unit comes equipped with Rox I&C as standard. Operation is possible via touch panel, web interface, or app. The system connects to all common BMS protocols, including BACnet and Modbus. Full integration into the Rox Cloud enables remote monitoring and maintenance.
Compact, Space-Saving Footprint
The all-in-one design fits even the most confined installation situations. Individual assembly units are sized to pass through standard doorways, so no crane or wall opening is needed for indoor placement.
